Italian dreams Part 6

I didn't get to ride that vespa!
Here ends a wonderful trip with old friends and new ones too! There was so much to fit in we also visited a friend of Sally's farm or known in italian as a Fattoria, went swimming, had lunch with the ladies who lunch book club. Jon and I were able to get out running most mornings and do some sketching in the fields. I had such a wonderful time I didn't want it to end. I will be going back to spend more time in Tuscany as soon as possible. Thank you to Sally, Tim, Jon, Zack and all Sally's special friends for being so kind. XO

Italian dreams Part 5

Jon and I out in the village of Monterchi. A medieval village placed on top of a great hill with views all around. It was a great place for Sally to settle. I can see the attraction! I couldn't have thought of a better place. A lovely bunch of people live in Monterchi who are very kind and helpful. It also has a local cafe that has the BEST coffee and bites to eat!

My 3 amicas, Tim, Jon and Zack! Out and about in town, Arezzo! The boys hit the skate park. I sunbathed. Zack had a go on the board and was rather good ;)

Out to lunch at a local village which is perched on a very very very steep hill with a great view. Lunch consisted of fresh melon, prosciutto, pecorino and bread salad. It was delicious and so fresh.

My friend Jon (Sally's son) and I went out for a walk around the village and surrounding area. The weather and scenery were stunning.

What a way to wake up!
I had the privileged opportunity to visit Tuscany during the summer and stay with a dear family friend Sally who has recently settled in Italy. With her and her family I enjoyed an Italy I would not have seen. VA BENE!

Brownsea Island Adventure Part 4

After some more foraging we found a great view point then made our way through a heather field where bees were still busy buzzing about their business. We made our way to a clearing which had a lovely lone tree standing... the end.

We set out on the marshlands side of the island but soon we were in the thick of it! A wonderful forest and the weather was looking on the brighter side. Flora and fauna abound.
